Alton Residence

Alton Residence is a contemporary two-story home located on Alton Road in Miami Beach, one of the city's most recognized residential corridors. The design responds to its urban context with a clean, controlled massing that maximizes interior volume on a constrained Miami Beach lot while preserving privacy from the street and neighboring properties. The architectural language is unmistakably modern, defined by horizontal proportions, layered planes, and a tightly edited material palette that lets the building's geometry speak for itself.

The facade pairs warm wood cladding with crisp white surfaces, a combination that introduces tactile texture and natural warmth into an otherwise minimal composition. Floor-to-ceiling glass walls open the primary living spaces to natural light and the surrounding landscape, while strategic facade openings preserve privacy where needed without compromising the home's connection to its environment. The two-story massing is composed to feel substantial without overwhelming the lot, balancing the client's program against the architectural restraint that defines successful modern residences in this neighborhood.

Inside, the open plan organization eliminates unnecessary partitions, allowing the main level to flow continuously between living, dining, and kitchen zones. Indoor and outdoor spaces are designed as extensions of one another, with seamless transitions between the interior, the pool deck, the outdoor kitchen, and the rooftop terrace.
